Current project
Our current project is assaulting Great Wall Motors with nasty letters and E-mails concerning
their recent copying of three cars: The Fiat Panda (GW Peri; slightly remodeled to resemble a Nissan Note),
The Scion xA/Toyota Ist (with a Toyota Yaris grill grafted onto the front), and the Scion xB/former Toyota bB
(with the front end of a recent Scion concept).
Great Wall (GWM) hasn't payed for the right to reproduce these models, and it will sell them for much lower
than Toyota or Fiat can afford. Its wrong and illegal, so we should do all we can to make them stop.
Welcome to the down with Chinese auto piracy blog
In recent years, China has become an important market for the auto industry.
But, as a result of that, Chinese manufacturers have resulted to piracy to
produce new models. Basically, they get a Japanese, American, or any other model, and
they copy it, maybe making it cheaper on the inside, and possibly slight exterior alterations.
Anyway, this site is dedicated to making sure that they won't get away with commiting a crime.
